What is U WatchShare?
U WatchShare is an add-on service that allows you to extend your mobile number, calls, SMS, and data to your compatible smartwatch. With this plan, your smartwatch stays connected even when your phone is not nearby or switched on.
Who can sign up for U WatchShare?
U WatchShare is available to customers on the following postpaid plans:
- U Biz 68
- U Biz 98
- U Biz Share 128
What devices are supported?
Only Huawei Watch 5 and Samsung Series 8 watches are supported. Kindly refer to our website for more supported devices in the future.
What is the monthly subscription fee?
U WatchShare is available at RM18/month.
How does data usage work?
- Your smartwatch shares the same data quota as your main mobile line.
- When connected via Bluetooth to your phone, data usage will be deducted from your main plan.
- When your smartwatch operates independently (not connected to your phone), data usage is still deducted from your main mobile plan.
Will I be tied to a contract?
- No contract is required if you only subscribe to U WatchShare.
- A device contract applies if you purchase a smartwatch on instalment with this plan.
Can I use U WatchShare while roaming overseas?
International roaming is currently not supported. While abroad, your smartwatch can still function via Bluetooth when paired with your phone.
What happens if I change my mobile number, phone, or watch?
- Change mobile number: Reactivate U WatchShare with your new number.
- Change smartphone: Simply re-pair your smartwatch with your new phone. No new subscription required.
- Change smartwatch: U WatchShare supports one smartwatch at a time. Contact us to deactivate your old watch before activating the new one.
What if I terminate or suspend my main mobile line?
- If you terminate your main mobile line, U WatchShare will also be terminated.
- If your main mobile line is suspended, U WatchShare will be suspended as well.
My phone supports dual SIM (physical or eSIM). How do I pair my smartwatch with the correct number?
Please disable the line you do not wish to pair during setup. Then proceed with pairing your smartwatch to the correct mobile number.
Can I unsubscribe, suspend, or re-subscribe later?
Yes. You may request to unsubscribe, suspend, or re-subscribe to U WatchShare through our branches or please contact U Mobile Customer Service.
Can I buy a smartwatch with instalments together with U WatchShare?
Yes. Selected Smartwatches models are available with monthly instalment plans when bundled with U WatchShare.
What is the U WatchShare Campaign?
The U WatchShare Campaign lets you save more when you get a Samsung Watch 8 Classic (46mm) or Huawei Watch 5 (46mm) with U WatchShare. You’ll enjoy a 6-month waiver on your U WatchShare monthly fee.
How can I confirm that my U WatchShare fee waiver has been applied?
Your U WatchShare fee waiver will appear as a discount or adjustment in your monthly bill for the first six months.
