Prepaid To Postpaid Campaign
  1. This Prepaid to Postpaid campaign (“Campaign”) by U Mobile Sdn Bhd (“U Mobile”) will commence at the date (“Campaign Period”) as stated in the notification that you will receive. During the Campaign Period, you will be able to upsize your Prepaid plan to Postpaid plan (“Plan”) via SMS or the MyUMobile App.

  2. By participating in this Campaign, you agree to be bound by all terms relating to the relevant service description, our Fair Usage Policy, Privacy Policy, the relevant postpaid subscription plan and these additional terms and conditions (collectively, the "Terms") all of which are available on www.u.com.my.

  3. Campaign Eligibility

    This Campaign is open to selected Active U Mobile Prepaid Plan subscribers only (Corporate account not included) who (“Active” means able to make and receive calls):
    1. are of age 18 years and above; and
    2. who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have obtained the consent of their parents or guardians to participate in this Campaign.
    3. have received an opt-in SMS from U Mobile (“Notification”), or push notification for subscribers who have downloaded the MyUMobile App.
  4. Campaign Mechanics
    1. You will be able to upgrade your existing Prepaid Plan to Postpaid Plan during the Campaign Period by replying to the Notification or by clicking the ‘Take up this deal’ notification on the MyUMobile App.
    2. By replying to the Notification, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the Terms of service for:
      1. UMobile U Postpaid Plan
    3. In the event that your upgrade is not successful due to any reasons after replying to the Notification, our system will automatically reattempt to upgrade you within the next 3 working days subject to your eligibility.
    4. An SMS notification will be sent to you on the plan upgrade status. If the upgrade is successful, your Prepaid plan will be upgraded to the Postpaid Plan instantly upon receipt of the “successful upgrade” status.
    5. You are required to update your personal information through U Mobile website’s Self-Care or MyUMobile App in order to receive the first bill.
    6. You are allowed to carry forward your Prepaid credit balance up to a maximum RM150 to the new Plan. The balance exceeding RM150 will be forfeited. Any remaining SMS, voice minutes and data allowance will be forfeited and any content subscription services in your  Prepaid account will be automatically terminated. Only your direct carrier billing (DCB) service subscription will be carried forward to the new Plan. The 1 month Advance Access Fee for the Plan is waived and will be reflected in your first bill where you are normally required to pay 1 month Advance Access Fee and the current month’s charges.
  1. Rewards
    1. Subscribers who complete the requirement of paragraph 5 above will receive the bonus campaign as stated in the “Notification” that you received.
    1. U Mobile will notify the eligible subscribers of their entitlement to receive the reward via SMS (“Reward Notification”). U Mobile may use any other method or medium it deems fit to notify the participants of their entitlement to receive the reward.
    2. You must ensure that your Postpaid account is Active and has no overdue during the Campaign Period. “Active” means able to make and receive calls. Subscribers who upgrade/downgrade their Postpaid plan will no longer be eligible to enjoy the subsequent month bonus data reward.
    3. For clarity, each eligible subscriber will be eligible to receive 1 campaign reward only during the Campaign Period.
    4. Campaign Offer
      1. For rebate offer, eligible customers will receive the bill rebate after 30 days in their next biling cycle after successful upgrade.
      2. For bonus data offer, eligible customers will receive the bonus data within 30 days after the successful upgrade and its valid for 30 days (the bonus data will be utilized first before your Postpaid plan internet data).
      3. For special rewards, shortlisted winners will be contacted within 30 days after campaign period verification.  Winners are to verify within 2 weeks from the date of receipt notification.  The prizes will be forfeited should the winners failed to comply within the stipulated time.
  1. General
    We reserve the right to modify or otherwise change these Terms including terminating or suspending the Campaign. This overrides any requirement where we may have to give you notice in other parts of our agreement with you.
