  2. Free Roaming Incoming Call is a voice roaming offer which provides you with incoming calls on roaming at selected countries at no additional charge. This Free Roaming Incoming Call is not applicable for making outgoing calls and SMS. Any outgoing calls and SMS while roaming will be subject to the applicable retail tariff charges at /en/personal/mobile-plans/roam-travel/roaming

  3. Free Data Roaming is not applicable for voice and SMS service.
     

  4. For U Postpaid 68 and U Postpaid 98, the Free Data Roaming and Free Incoming Call are available for the principal lines only and are not applicable for U FamilyShare lines under these plans.

    For U Family 128, the Free Data Roaming and Free Incoming Call are applicable for the principal line and the U Family Share lines under the plan. Roaming data of your U Family Share line(s) is drawn from the 15GB Roaming Data bucket of your principal line.

  5. Free Data Roaming and Free Roaming Incoming Call cannot be transferred to any other mobile numbers.

  6. Free Data Roaming and Free Roaming Incoming Call are provided according to the Terms of Service on our Postpaid Sign-Up Form. You must comply with those terms including the relevant service description, Privacy Notice, the relevant Postpaid subscription plan and these additional terms and conditions (collectively, the "Terms") all of which are available on www.u.com.my.

  7.  We reserve the right to modify or otherwise change these Terms including the charges without notice to you. This overrides any requirement where we may have to give you notice in other parts of our agreement with you. 

 

Free Data Roaming: Activation and Charges

 

1. To enjoy the Free Data Roaming you have to: 

 

i. activate your international roaming service before you travel; and 

ii. manually connect to any one of the preferred roaming operator’s networks when you are on roaming at the respective countries as listed at /en/personal/mobile-plans/roam-travel/roaming

 

2. If you do not connect to the preferred roaming network specified above, you will not be able to connect to the internet while on roaming. However, you may still use voice and SMS service subject to the applicable charges imposed by the roaming operator you connect to. 

 

3. Once you connect to the preferred roaming operator’s network above based on the country you are in, you may use data quota allocated to you (“Roaming Data Quota”) as per Table A.

 

4. You may check your Roaming Data Quota’s usage while on roaming by: 

     i. Dialing *118# (Applicable for U Postpaid 68 and U Postpaid 98 only); or

     ii. using the MyUMobile App 

 

5. Upon utilization of your Roaming Data Quota:

 

     i. we will notify you via SMS that your Free Data Roaming is depleted. Your Roaming Data Quota will be refreshed at the next billing cycle provided you are still subscribed to U Family 128.  

     ii. if you continue to use data roaming, you will automatically subscribe to the 24-Hour Roaming Passes. The 24-Hour Roaming Passes is chargeable at RM15 or RM38 per-day per-country. For more details, visit /en/personal/mobile-plans/roam-travel/roaming#postpaid-roaming-plans

     iii. if you are on U Family 128 plan and wish to continue using data roaming without being charged with 24-Hour Roaming RM38 or 24-Hour Roaming RM15, you can opt to purchase the Roam Share add-ons.

 

Roam Share Add-Ons: Activation and Charges

  1. Roam Share add-ons are applicable for U Family 128 only.
  2. If the free 15GB Roaming Data Quota is deemed insufficient, you may purchase the following roaming add-ons via the MyUMobile App:
    1. Roam Share 2GB (RM15 / 1 Day)
    2. Roam Share 5GB (RM35 / 7 Days)
  3. Roam Share add-ons can only be purchased using your principal line. U Family Share line(s) can use the data quota from the roaming add-on bucket of your principal line.
  4. You may only use 1 Roam Share add-on at any point of time. If you purchase another Roam Share add-on when your existing Roam Share is still valid, the roaming data quota and validity will be refreshed upon purchase of the new add-on. Any unused data from the previous add-on will be forfeited.

  1. To enjoy the Free Data Roaming you have to:
